As you may have noticed, postings have been rather sparse as of late. This is largely due to the fact that I have come to realize that I have entirely too much on my plate. After debating for many months, my husband and I have come to the conclusion that I need to eliminate some responsibilities in my life. Between a new baby, a 3 year old, babysitting, my clothing business, and managing a household, it seems there's just not enough time in the day. I'm sure many of your feel that same way as well!

In order to help lighten the load, I have decided to reduce my number of normal postings. I will still post the grocery deals for each week along with the coupon matchups. I'll also post any other amazing deals that happen to come my way. However, for your Walgreen's and CVS weekly deals, I will refer you to several other blogs where other ladies do a wonderful job letting you know about the drug store finds. Be on the lookout!

Since I don't have an Aldi's store nearby, I chose to head to Walmart to take advantage of their new price matching guarantee. According to Walmart's new price match policy and as stated on their website, you don't even need to bring a copy of the ad to price match. In fact, my cashier didn't even ask! Joplin: Another Way To Help

Those of you in the Springfield area have another opportunity to help the youngest victims of the Joplin tornado. While basic necessities are greatly needed at this time, we want to remember that sometimes the not so "necessary" items can mean the world to a child. From now until June 3, Little Sunshine's Preschool will be holding a clothing and toy drive for the children of Joplin. The 3 Springfield locations, Ozark location and Roger's Arkansas location will serve as drop-off sites from 6 am-6pm. For specific addresses, you can visit their website HERE.

For any clothing donated, relief agencies are asking that donors put a couple of outfits together in a clear plastic bag, labeled with size and gender for quicker distribution. If you have individual pieces of clothing, you may take them to LSP as well, where they will assemble complete outfits. If you are donating toys, please remember to include batteries, if needed.

This is yet another wonderful opportunity to teach your children about the importance of helping others along with showing God's love! Thanks Amanda, for sharing this great way to be a blessing!

Joplin: How Can I Help? (UPDATED)

Like me, I'm sure many of your have been watching the news covering the devastation from the tornado that took place in Joplin last night. Living so close, many of us are wondering, what can we do to help? Several of your local organizations like the Red Cross and many others are currently collection items like bottled water and are in need of blood. You can also consider donating money at several of the reputable donation sites.

However, there is another way you can help...and use your couponing skills while you are doing it! The tornado left families with absolutely nothing. Everyday items that we take for granted like toothpaste and diaper wipes are a huge need for these families. I have gone through and cleaned out my stockpile of toothpaste, body wash, contact solution, soaps, diaper wipes and even baby formula in an effort to help the relief effort even a bit. Consider using your Enfamil formula coupons to pick up free, ready to feed formula at Walmart, or take advantage of the CVS diaper deal and other freebies to use your couponing skills to help others. If you have children, what a wonderful teaching opportunity! Take them shopping with you and use this time to teach them about saving money as well as showing God's love to others. Remember, we are blessed to be a blessing!
